So I fly off to France tomorrow and I am petrified. This is my first time travelling with and packing for a baby.
I am so worried I am going to forget something. There is so much to remember! I have the worst Mummy Brain at the moment, I hate using that term as I always thought it was a cop out before I was a Mum. But it is true, it is definitely a "thing"... I think it comes from being so consumed with caring for a baby that nothing else can enter your mind.
I am always thinking: Is he hungry? When is his next feed due? Does he need changing? Are his bottles/clothes/dummies/bibs clean? Is he breathing okay in his sleep?
So many concerns and questions whizzing through my mind, all about my baby, that I don't have room to function normally. I keep putting things in the wrong places, like the cat food in the bin instead of the cat bowl (my cat doesn't like me at the moment).
I had planned to do so much more research about flying with a baby before we set off but I haven't got time. I have packed almost a full bag but still have a full list of things to pack, essentials like passports! I pray I don't forget those! But I am having nightmares about forgetting them!
In terms of flying with a 2 month old I am just going to have to wing it (yes, bad flying pun intended). Luckily I have a family member flying with me, which is easing my nerves but only a little.
I still have so much to iron, pack, prepare... It is a little overwhelming! Not to mention that my son has been particularly fussy lately meaning that everything is taking twice as long.
I started packing this week, I would have started sooner but my son is at a funny age between 0-3 month and 3-6 month clothes. Some things fit him, some don't... and he is growing so quickly I didn't have a clue what would fit him this week! So I have had to put off packing until I know what he fits into!
On another note, my husband bought Archie this adorable personalised bodysuit for his first holiday...
Also, while I am away I will try to put up some blog posts but if I don't I will be back next week and resume blogging.
In the meantime don't forget to enter the Bitzas handmade hippo giveaway (winner will be announced next week):
